Most book clubs that I have ever participated in have devolved pretty quickly into "wine and chat clubs." Not that there's anything wrong with that...! But this new group I've hooked up with is pretty serious, so I'm trying to make a good show of it. Actually, I'm hoping to redeem myself after the first meeting, at which I hadn't even acquired the book, let alone read it. (Bad, I know!)
Let the record show that I have the book in my possession, and I have begun reading. I have until Friday to finish.
But it's slow going so far. Have you read this one? Let me know, I may need to borrow your notes...
