Life is serving up some tough lessons around here this week. Not least among them is one for the parents. Namely: Try as we might to warn them, we can't protect kids from every heartbreak. Some lessons have to be learned the hard way, and maybe that's better in the long run.
However, it still stinks.

Oh that sucks. Joy's bike was stolen when she was a kid too, so sad.
