Ascophyllum Nodosum

It's funny how seaweed comes & goes at the beach. Some weeks, there's hardly any at all. Other times, the sand is strewn with large, tangled clumps, and it churns in the waves.
It's also funny how I've never thought much at all about seaweed, until now. It's actually kind of interesting... According to Wikipedia, this variety is the best known, most extensively researched and widely used for medicinal purposes. Who knew?
